Of all the things in the world
I chose to give to you...
Something you cannot see or touch
Something I've given to very few
It's something I hold dearly
Very close to me
Something very delicate
But the cost of it- is free
I'm giving it to you, no strings attached,
I can assure you it's not fake
All I ask in return
Is that you're careful not to let it break
I've had it with me for many years
But never been faced with this choice
Do I give it to the one I love
Or never let it have a voice
You see I'm giving this to you
In hopes it won't pull us apart
