COURAGE

A moment in time, a chance for change.
A whispering prayer, a wish just the same.
The courage to fight shines from somewhere within.
But the coward on top just won't let her begin.
Relying on dreams, and believing in fate,
She won't lose this time, she just has to wait.
The doubt and confusion will escape from his mind.
He loves her and needs her is the answer he'll find.
She longs for his kiss and his comforting touch.
For him to love only her, that's not asking too much.
But time is too cruel, the pain she can't bear.
She needs him to love her and to always be there.
Hiding each morning from the bright break of dawn.
Using a dream as her strength to go on.
Alone in the dark, her tears of hurt fall each night.
She's simply relying on fate,
By lacking the courage to fight.
